Hey there all!
Welcome to Fatal Genesis!
Now, here on FG you may see stuff you've never seen on any other role-play forum.
Rather then being dedicated to just one world for people to role-play in, this consists of many.
In each world, canons are playable by anyone at anytime.
Here, you'll also be able to do things you usually wouldn't be able to do in the plots
on other sites because they are strickly stuck on the plot.
Don't see a world you would like to role-play in?
No problem!
You're more than welcome to make a request for the worlds you want to see!
Other than that, please feel free to take a look around the site, and enjoy your time here in Fatal Genesis!

i've never had to knock on wood
Over the span of time dedicated to watching the film and working on the essay, I put a lot of thought into how, exactly, I was going to answer, and I only feel now that I've got an answer I can stand behind with certainty. When we were first assigned this particular essay – that is, after the initial “oh, gosh, another opinionated assignment, time to start freaking out due to a lack of a correct answer” - my response would have been that, yes, the men and women who lived and died through the course of our second World War were a superior generation, if not the best for all of the tumult they managed to not only survive, but triumph over. My opinion, however, began to change the longer I thought and the more I watched Saving Private Ryan and the characters, specifically, in it. When their second man – Wayne was his name, if I recall? I'm no good at remembering these sort of things – dies and their team starts to fall apart because of it, ally turning on ally in what could have been a rather violent situation, the captain breaks the anger by retelling his very simple, even boring life back at home. Seeing his courage and wisdom on the war front, I can honestly say I was as surprised as all of the people under him were to hear how... uneventful his life back home was. It dawned on me then that he wasn't some angsty super man or anything. He was an ordinary man. So ordinary, he could have been any average Joe you'd see on the streets these days. To further this feeling, a series of snippets following the man – the translator one, the one who could speak French and German whose name and position I didn't ever quite catch – as he sneaked around the battlefield during the attack on the bridge and everything he did right from the start and up until the end. While everyone else was fighting tooth and nail, doing whatever it took to shoot down the enemy before they, themselves, were shot down in turn, he showed cowardice and... sympathy. He did not injure a single enemy, couldn't even bring himself to attack when his partners' lives were on the line. And when I thought about it, it reminded me a lot of... me. In that situation, that would have been me to a “t”. He was an ordinary person, too. He felt so scared and so unwilling to harm another human being that, even while it was his job to do almost whatever it took to defeat the enemy, he let his own emotions best him and cause him to be completely and utterly useless. And, while this can't speak for all, I know there are a decent chunk of people in society today who think the same.
All in all, I feel incredibly moved by the honor and sacrifice the people on the front and even the people living back at home had to face during these times. However, I do not feel like they were a superior people because of it. They were teachers. They were business men and women. They were doctors and nurses and any other sort of occupation you could dream of and when their freedom, the freedom they earned and the freedom everyone else in the world deserves was put at stake, they laid their ordinary lives down for a greater cause. There's nothing to say that, should a great need like that come forth in this day in age, our own generation would not take after their ancestor and answer to Lady Liberty's cry for help. If we don't, I'm not sure this is the kind of America I want to live in.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English.
Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).

FROM ME TO THEM
i've got a new disease in me, i've got a friend that's loosing sleep. i take it hard, it's hard to take. i'm wide awake, i'm wide awake. one more confession, discretion's not what i need to sell. i never needed a reason from keeping secrets from myself, and now that's just how i tell i'm wide awake. i'll wreck this if i have to, tell me, what good would that do? i'll wreck this if i have to. you get separated, somebody's gone, and i don't know how this is wrong. i'm so frustrated, falling behind. you were a friend of mine.
i'd be so good to you, 'cause they don't know you like i do. they don't know you like i do. they don't know you like i do. they don't know you like i do.
there's a difference from me to them, and the road home's paved in star -er's requiem. i could never go, go back home again. acadia is gone, (acadia is gone,) acadia is gone. all my indecision, all of my excess. please don't ever tell me i'm not loving you best. i just need a minute, i just need a breath, it's very hard to drink to my continued success. and i will slow down. it's better in the worst way, it's getting better in the worst way.
so here's another day i'll spend away from you, another night i'm on another broken avenue. trading in who i've been for celebrity skin; i like to push it and push it until my luck is over. i wonder what you're doing, i wonder if you doubt it, i wonder how we used to ever go so long without it. all that works to impress, charming girls out of their dresses, smiling pretty, smiling pretty. i'm right beside you. what you want, what you need. i'll make this perfect again. if i burn out and slip away. you're beautiful - you are.
i've been here so very long, and i can slip into you. it's so easy to come back into you. i'll hide it - can i hide in you a while? i'm not sick of you yet, is that as good as it gets? i never took you for a trick, but, sometimes i don't know what you want. i could take it if you need to take this out on someone.
if this is just a part i portray, i don't know how it got this way.

The wind proved to be a persistent enemy throughout her endeavor – Frieda had already lost two pages to be carried off into the atmosphere – but she was pretty sure Mother Nature’s natural fan wouldn’t be strong enough to loose her hard work after she’d clipped each dripping sheet onto her sister’s old clothes line with about four clip each. She’d thought of using a hair dryer to make the process go faster before remembering that she didn’t actually have a hair dryer. In the end, it was either leave them out to dry outside or give up while she was ahead, but the she was never one to back down from any sort of challenge. And so, for the past ten minutes, she’d been handling each and every page with the utmost care, tearing the wet pages from the spire binding and trying to see how much she could actually save. Unfortunately, things weren’t looking all that great.
The first page she found that had anything legible on it was still pretty impossible to read. The snippets of sentences she could make out here and there weren’t even worth the effort to try and decode, but she’d left it out, anyway, hoping she’d have better luck reading it when it was dried. The first mostly intact paper had been nothing more than a waste of her time. “A List of All the Reasons Why Alva Faunus is Awesome” was written in bright green letters at the top and she hadn’t even given it a thorough read before crumpling up and tossing it in the garbage where it belonged. The next couple of pages – each getting more soaked as it went along – was an incredibly long letter that was supposed to be addressed to the male’s uncle. Curiosity had gotten the better of her at first, scarlet hues reading a few lines before she realized that it probably wasn’t meant to be read by wandering eyes. When she hung them up to dry, she made sure to put the pages that were written on facing away from her.
“Arg, I’m gonna be here forever,” she growled, angrily grabbing a fist full of papers that were hanging out of the side a bit. These were not there originally; they must have been shoved in there for safe keeping. Upon inspection, the red-head was surprised to find them in near-perfect shape – though, when she looked carefully, she figured it was due to how it was a thicker paper than the pages in the notebook – and, instead of having lists of stupid things he prided himself in or letters to family, it was… sheet music. Pages on pages of sheet music. She wasn’t a musician of any sort, but if she had to take a guess, it looked like… piano music? Made sense; if she recalled, he’d bragged on and on for about an hour once about how he performed in concerts with adults when he was but a mere child with his talent with the instrument. It was complicated as all get out, though. Even if she knew how to play any notes, she wouldn’t have a chance at playing this musical monstrosity.
