It was the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons that destroyed their home planet of Cybertron. With the planet now uninhabitable, the Decepticons, led by Megatron, search for the AllSpark, a power that they could use to take over the universe. On the other hand, the Autobots wish to rebuild their planet with it and end the war once and for all. Megatron was able to locate the AllSpark on earth, but crash landed and was unable to retrieve it. Years later, Captain Archibald Witwicky stumbled on Megatron and accidentally active his navigational system and his mind was imprinted with the location of the AllSpark on earth. These events are the catalyst of another war between the Autobots and Decepticons that's been honed in on Earth. There, humans are forced to choose a side between good and evil.

AUTOBOTS – A group of humanoid robots from the planet Cybertron. The Autobots are led by Optimus Prime, and have taken it upon themselves to protect the human race against their enemies, the Decepticons. Autobots tend to transform strictly into earthly vehicles to blend in.

DECEPTICONS – Another group of humanoid robots, again from the planet of Cybertron. Led by Megatron (or Galvatron), the Decepticons believe that humans are a weak species and should be exterminated. They also transform into vehicles, but many stay in the form of Cybertronian vehicles. The primarily stick to different aircrafts.

DRONES – Also known as minicons, Drones are small transformer robots that assist both the Autobots and Decepticons. These guys tend to transform into smaller electronics such as phones or computers.

DINOBOTS – The original transformers on Earth, these robots were created when Cybertronians wanted to create more cyberform. This creation wiped out the dinosaurs, but instead turned them into DInobots. These transformers turn from their robot form into robotic dinosaurs.

CYBERTRONIANS – These robots are Transformers from the planet of Cybertron, and usually mean bad news for the Autobots.

HUMANS – Just typical human beings. Most of them fear Transformers and their abilities, but there are still plenty of others that will help and align with either the Autobots or the Decepticons.
